Head Wound

We had a pretty traumatic day on Friday. I went to pick the kids up from our friends house, she watched them while I was at my Dr.'s appointment. We were talking for a minute on the front porch and the kids were playing. Cade was walking/running towards the door and tripped. He hit his head right on the edge of the brick step. We new right away that it probably wasn't good. Head wounds bleed so much, it finally slowed down and we could see that I should take him in to get it looked at. He was not a happy boy. The Dr. took him back and started squirting cold water on it for a long time. After doing that for awhile and Cade almost throwing up a few times because of screaming so hard, she pulled out the stapler. They don't numb they just start stapling away. I felt so bad for my little boy, he was in so much pain, I thought he was going to pass out. There were four nurses and me holding him down. After five staples she was done. A sucker seemed to solve everything pretty fast. We went home and gave him Tylenol and a nice nap. When he woke up he was back to his happy self. We have to keep giving him Tylenol because he will start to touch his head and say "ow". He only has to have them in for five days. Wednesday we get to go back in and get the staples taken out. This makes me cringe thinking about. The Dr. made it sound like its no big deal. It is just always so sad when things like this happen to your kids. He his a tough little one, and is just fine, nothing a few staples can't take care of.

Mother's Day and lots more...

The kids love our new bubble machine.

I took Kens to the Cinderella ballet. She had to wear all of her Cinderella attire. I loved watching how excited she was to go and she absolutely loved the ballet. She came home and danced around like a ballerina for the next few days. It was so fun going out with my girl.
Silly boy
Kens loves her new nightgown.
Kenslee went to a birthday party where she was lucky enough to drive a go-cart all by herself. She did such an awesome job. She had the biggest smile the entire time. She was being such a flirt with the boys that worked there. She would turn the corner where they were standing and she would look at all of them with the biggest smile. She did this every time. It was so funny, I think we are going to have our hands full with this girl.
Off she goes...

Kens made me a breakfast in bed bag for Mother's Day at school. This is the picture she drew of me.
I thought this was so cute. I am so glad that something so simple as turning on a show will make your child love you so much! :)
Happy Mother's Day!

Cade's face in this picture is so cute. He is so excited for me to open my presents.

I love my Mother's Day gifts!
I am so lucky to be a mom to these two amazing kids. I love them SO much! I can't imagine my life without them. I feel so blessed and lucky. I can't wait to add a third little one to the family.
My new diaper bag from Billy! Thanks Babe! I LOVE YOU!
Kens started swim lessons. She is doing really well. She has started to put her head under the water, and will stay for a minute.

Easter 2010

I cut Cade's hair, he looks like such a big boy. It is sad all of his curls are gone, but I figure they will be back soon enough.
We were so excited for Nana to come and visit! She came for a week and we had so much fun playing and spending some money! :)

We had a Easter Egg hunt with some friends at a park.

Easter Pictures

I had way too much fun with these pictures. Sorry for the overload, but there were so many fun ones. I just think my kids are so stinken cute! Kens is such a little model, I loved all of the pics of her. Cade was another story, trying to get him to sit still and look at the camera was tough. He is a wild man! I feel like I did end up getting some good ones.

(what is my crazy brother doing now?)

This little man is 18 months! Holy Cow! I seriously can't believe it. It is so fun watching him grow and play with his big sister. He is saying so many words now. He loves all the boy stuff. He could throw and kick balls all day. He has a truck or car in his hands at all times. He is just such a boy and WE LOVE HIM!
We love this girl too!

It was so much fun having my mom here for Easter. She got to stay for a week and we had a blast. We miss her so much! Kens reminds me every day how much she misses Nana, and that she can't get enough of her.
More of Kens at gymnastics.

We spent a day at Fort Worth Zoo. The kids had a great time. Cade loved seeing all of the animals. He would go crazy when there was one that he knew and could say or make the noise. My favorite is when we saw the brown bear and he sat and called it a teddy bear. He also loves to roar and do the elephant noise, he uses his arm as the trunk.
