Head Wound

We had a pretty traumatic day on Friday. I went to pick the kids up from our friends house, she watched them while I was at my Dr.'s appointment. We were talking for a minute on the front porch and the kids were playing. Cade was walking/running towards the door and tripped. He hit his head right on the edge of the brick step. We new right away that it probably wasn't good. Head wounds bleed so much, it finally slowed down and we could see that I should take him in to get it looked at. He was not a happy boy. The Dr. took him back and started squirting cold water on it for a long time. After doing that for awhile and Cade almost throwing up a few times because of screaming so hard, she pulled out the stapler. They don't numb they just start stapling away. I felt so bad for my little boy, he was in so much pain, I thought he was going to pass out. There were four nurses and me holding him down. After five staples she was done. A sucker seemed to solve everything pretty fast. We went home and gave him Tylenol and a nice nap. When he woke up he was back to his happy self. We have to keep giving him Tylenol because he will start to touch his head and say "ow". He only has to have them in for five days. Wednesday we get to go back in and get the staples taken out. This makes me cringe thinking about. The Dr. made it sound like its no big deal. It is just always so sad when things like this happen to your kids. He his a tough little one, and is just fine, nothing a few staples can't take care of.

Mother's Day and lots more...

The kids love our new bubble machine.

I took Kens to the Cinderella ballet. She had to wear all of her Cinderella attire. I loved watching how excited she was to go and she absolutely loved the ballet. She came home and danced around like a ballerina for the next few days. It was so fun going out with my girl.
Silly boy
Kens loves her new nightgown.
Kenslee went to a birthday party where she was lucky enough to drive a go-cart all by herself. She did such an awesome job. She had the biggest smile the entire time. She was being such a flirt with the boys that worked there. She would turn the corner where they were standing and she would look at all of them with the biggest smile. She did this every time. It was so funny, I think we are going to have our hands full with this girl.
Off she goes...

Kens made me a breakfast in bed bag for Mother's Day at school. This is the picture she drew of me.
I thought this was so cute. I am so glad that something so simple as turning on a show will make your child love you so much! :)
Happy Mother's Day!

Cade's face in this picture is so cute. He is so excited for me to open my presents.

I love my Mother's Day gifts!
I am so lucky to be a mom to these two amazing kids. I love them SO much! I can't imagine my life without them. I feel so blessed and lucky. I can't wait to add a third little one to the family.
My new diaper bag from Billy! Thanks Babe! I LOVE YOU!
Kens started swim lessons. She is doing really well. She has started to put her head under the water, and will stay for a minute.
